Aches, pains, and inflammation, oh my! The common creaks and groans that we find in our own bones are just as common in our furry companions. Luckily, we have something that can help; drug free, surgery free, noninvasive relief for your pet.
At Meadow Vista Veterinary Clinic we offer Class IV Deep Tissue Laser Therapy for canines and felines. Laser treatment can be used to reduce pain, and inflammation associated with arthritis, hip dysplasia, and various geriatric conditions. It can also be used to speed up the process of wound healing; it has been scientifically proven to be successful in treating post-surgical pain and many acute and chronic conditions. Along with the previous mentioned conditions, some of the less known ailments include allergies, infections, inflammatory bowel disease, tendonitis, and urinary tract infections!
The therapy uses a beam of laser light to deeply penetrate tissue without damaging it. Laser energy induces a biological response in the cells called “photo-bio-modulation,”, which leads to reduced pain, reduced inflammation, and increased healing speed. The laser light light is delivered through a noninvasive hand-piece to treat the affected area. Your pet may feel a gentle and soothing warmth, and treatments usually are under 15 minutes in length.
If you think your pet may benefit from Laser Therapy treatments then please give us a call to schedule a consultation with one of the doctors!
